Founded in Roanoke, Virginia, Big Lick Comic Con has grown from its local roots into one of the commonwealth’s premier pop culture events while staying true to what made it special from the beginning: comics, creators, community, and an unforgettable fan experience.

Big Lick Comic Con is independently owned and operated by a working comic creator and comic store owner with a team deeply connected to the comic book and entertainment community. That perspective shapes everything we do — from the guests we bring to the creators we spotlight to the vendors, cosplay, programming, and overall atmosphere of the show.

Each Big Lick Comic Con brings together legendary comic creators, celebrity guests, voice actors, wrestlers, musicians, artists, cosplayers, vendors, collectors, and thousands of fans for a weekend celebrating the stories and characters that bring us together.

But Big Lick is about more than meeting celebrities or shopping a convention floor. We believe a comic con can still feel personal. They should give fans the chance to discover a new artist, dig through boxes for the book they've been hunting for, meet someone whose work inspired them, show off a cosplay they spent months creating, and make memories with friends and family.
